Biography

Yosuke worked for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for 45 years, including more than 30 years in diplomatic missions abroad (Embassy of the Philippines, Consulate General in Atlanta, Embassy of the United Kingdom, Embassy of the Solomon Islands, Embassy of Yemen, Consulate General in Auckland, Consulate General in Karachi, and Consulate General in Melbourne), and has been committed to promoting friendship and goodwill between Japan and other countries.
Yosuke has extensive experience in a wide range of fields, including investment promotion in the UK, economic cooperation (Official Development Assistance Grants and Technical cooperation), public relations and culture, and general consular affairs (passports, visas, etc.).
The last four years were spent at the Consulate-General of Japan in Melbourne, where he was in charge of the front line in providing Japanese administrative services to Japanese residents in the country, and developed good working relationships with many parties including the Australian government, security agencies, immigration authorities, and private companies.
